What this is

A second opinion from a panel advocate on a matter where you already have advice or a case under way - whether the strategy is sound, whether the advice you were given matches the law and the documents, what else could be done, and whether to continue, settle or change course - delivered as a written note without interfering with your current lawyer. It is for people in litigation or with an opinion they are unsure about.

What you get

A written second opinion signed by our panel advocate on letterhead, reviewing the advice, pleadings or orders you share against the facts and the law, stating whether the current course is sound, the risks and alternatives, points that appear to have been missed, the realistic time and cost of continuing, and a recommendation on whether to continue, settle, appeal or change approach, with the questions to put to your current lawyer. The note is for your use; it is not filed anywhere and does not replace your lawyer.
