What this is
An adoption deed recording the adoption of a child by adoptive parents from the natural parents or guardian, drafted under the law that governs your family - the Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act for Hindus, or the Juvenile Justice Act framework for others and for adoptions through agencies - so the adoption is documented, the deed can be registered, and the child's records updated. It is for families completing an adoption within the family or through the legal process. Our panel advocate drafts and reviews the deed and delivers it signed on letterhead; registration is a separate step we explain.
What you get
An adoption deed drafted, reviewed and signed by our panel advocate on letterhead, recording the adoptive parents and the person giving in adoption, their capacity and consents, the child's details, the ceremony of giving and taking where the Hindu Act applies, the date and place, the intention to transfer the child permanently, and the attestation block. Delivered ready for execution, with a note on registration with the Sub-Registrar, the presumption a registered deed carries, updating the birth certificate, school and identity records, and on when a court or CARA process is required instead of or before a deed. Registration charges are not included.
