What this is
Publication of your name change in the Gazette of India - the affidavit and newspaper advertisement where not already done, the application to the Department of Publication in the prescribed form with the declaration, the fee and enclosures, filed for you and followed up until the notification is published and the gazette copy is delivered. It is for adults changing their name and parents changing a minor's name, especially where a passport office, university or employer requires the gazette notification.
